How do I set up my family?
When you first open Dindins, you'll be guided through creating your family profile. You can add family members, set dietary preferences, and configure allergies for each person. Family members can be invited to join via QR code or share link.
How do I invite family members?
Go to Settings > Family, then tap "Invite Family Member." You can share an invitation via QR code (scan with another device) or send a share link via Messages, Email, or any other app. The invited person will need to have Dindins installed and an iCloud account.
Does Dindins work offline?
Yes! Dindins works fully offline. Any changes you make will automatically sync with your family when you reconnect to the internet. Your recipes, meal plans, and shopping lists are all available offline.
How do I import recipes from websites?
Tap the + button in the Recipes tab and select "Import from URL." Paste the recipe link, and Dindins will automatically extract the recipe details including ingredients, instructions, and cooking time. You can also use "Import from Photo" to scan recipes from cookbooks or printed materials.
How does meal voting work?
Any family member can propose meals for the week. Other family members can then vote on their preferences. Once voting is complete, the winning meals are automatically added to your meal plan. This ensures everyone has a say in what's for dinner!
How is my shopping list generated?
Tap "Generate Shopping List" from your meal plan, and Dindins will automatically compile all ingredients from your planned meals. Quantities are combined intelligently (so you don't have "1 onion" listed five times), and items are organized by store section for easier shopping.
Where is my data stored?
All your data is stored securely in your personal iCloud account. We don't store any of your data on our servers. This means your recipes, meal plans, and family information are protected by Apple's security infrastructure and remain completely under your control.
Can I use Dindins on multiple devices?
Absolutely! Dindins syncs seamlessly across all your Apple devices signed into the same iCloud account. Make changes on your iPhone, and they'll appear on your iPad instantly. Your family members will also see updates in real-time.
How do I delete my account and data?
You can delete individual items directly in the app. To delete all Dindins data, go to your device's Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Manage Storage > Dindins and delete the data there. Uninstalling the app removes local data immediately.

How to Report a Bug
- Describe the issue: What were you trying to do, and what happened instead?
- Steps to reproduce: List the steps you took that led to the bug. This helps us recreate the issue.
- Device information: Include your iPhone/iPad model and iOS version (found in Settings > General > About).
- Screenshots: If possible, attach screenshots showing the problem.
