Privacy Policy

The short version

This policy covers the Seven Southgate website at sevensouthgate.com. We don’t sell your data or run advertising. Analytics only run if you accept them. The only personal information we receive is what you choose to send us through a form. Our individual apps have their own privacy policies.

Who we are

This site is operated by Seven Southgate (“we”, “our”, or “us”), an independent software studio based in New Zealand. You can reach us any time at hello@sevensouthgate.com.

Information we collect

Form submissions. When you use the contact form or the briefing interest form, we receive the details you enter — your name, email address, and message (and, for the briefing form, your practice name and type). We use these solely to read and respond to your enquiry.

Analytics. If you accept analytics via the consent banner, we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. This sets cookies and collects information such as your approximate location, device and browser type, and the pages you view. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and Google Analytics does not load. You can change your mind by clearing this site’s data in your browser, which brings the banner back.

Spam protection. Our forms use hCaptcha to tell humans and bots apart. hCaptcha may collect device and usage information to do this.

Server logs. Our host, Netlify, may automatically log technical information such as your IP address for security and reliability. We do not use these logs to identify you.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your personal information. We rely on a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:

• Web3Forms delivers form submissions to our inbox — privacy policy
• Google Analytics (only with your consent) — privacy policy
• hCaptcha provides spam protection — privacy policy
• Netlify hosts the website — privacy policy

How long we keep it

We keep the emails generated by your form submissions for as long as we need them to handle your enquiry and any follow-up, then delete them. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics’ standard retention settings.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to withdraw consent for analytics at any time. To make a request, email us at hello@sevensouthgate.com and we’ll respond as soon as we reasonably can.

Children

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “last updated” date above.
